Leggett to Discuss County’s Preparedness for The Winter Snow Season

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will discuss the County’s readiness for the 2017-2018 winter snow season and the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will display its latest snow removal equipment.

MCDOT Director Al Roshdieh also will review the department’s comprehensive approach to winter storm operations, this year’s expanded program to remove snow from 60-plus miles of sidewalks, and other initiatives.

Photo Opportunity: Tours will be offered of the County’s Gaithersburg Depot, including the largest salt barn on the east coast. Snow plows and other snow removal equipment will be displayed.

Note on Location: The event will be held outside the Depot salt barn, which is the last building at the end of Crabbs Branch Way.
