Weekly Media Briefing with Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and Other County Officials Set for Wednesday, May 31 at 12:30 p.m.

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing starting at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 31.

This week the County Executive will be joined by Montgomery County Police Department Assistant Chief Darren Francke, Commander Amy Daum and Captain Michael Pratt to discuss the 30 in 30 initiative meant to increase the percentage of women employed by MCPD. The police department is currently 23% female, which is well above the national average of 13%.

Acting Director of Health and Human Services Dr. James Bridgers, Chief Health Officer Dr. Kisha Davis, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Earl Stoddard, Public Health Emergency Preparedness Manager Sean O’Donnell and others will also join the County Executive for the briefing.

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and important issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
