Comptroller Brooke Lierman Joins County Executive Marc Elrich During Weekly Media Briefing to Discuss Tax-Free Shopping Week in Maryland

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold his weekly virtual media briefing on Tuesday, August 15 starting at 12:30 p.m.

This week the County Executive will be discussing Maryland Tax-Free Week, sexual harassment allegations against an MCPS principal, National Farmer’s Market Week, the deployment of MCFRS cadaver dogs to Hawaii and more.

This week the County Executive will be joined by Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman to discuss Maryland Tax-Free Week and other initiatives that the Comptroller’s Office is focused on.

The weekly media briefing offers reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and important issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the media briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.

If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County's Facebook page. It is also available on County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
