Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich’s Weekly Media Briefing at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14 Will Focus on Permitting Successes & Transportation Challenges

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold his weekly virtual media briefing at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14.

This week the County Executive will discuss the state of Maryland’s announced cuts to transportation funding and how Montgomery County is impacted by financial challenges faced by WMATA.

The County Executive will be joined by Rabbiah Sabbakhan, director for the Department of Permitting Services to discuss recent changes in the department to make it easier to do business in Montgomery County.

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss important issues with key members of the County government. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.

If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County's Facebook page. This week’s media briefing will not be available on County Cable Montgomery due to the schedule change.
