Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County's Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Rich Madaleno questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8.
Topics include Visit Montgomery’s special effort to promote the County to visitors, “Go MoCo Month”. Tourism has a $1.8 billion impact on our local economy through hotel stays, food and beverage, retail, recreation and transportation. This week’s guest will be:
The CAO will also discuss his participation in the annual Fallen Heroes Memorial Service arranged by the Montgomery County Police Department to coincide with National Police Week. This is also a week in which we honor nurses, correctional officers and teachers.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 a.m. on the briefing day. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
You can view the media briefing live on the County Executive’s X account (@MontCoExec) or the County's Facebook page. However, due to a scheduling conflict, it will not air live in its entirety as it typically does on County Cable Montgomery.
