Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich's Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, to Focus on Silver Spring Honor & Local Olympic Athletes

Reporters are encouraged to participate in this week’s virtual media briefing on Wednesday, July 24, at 12:30 p.m., where they will have the opportunity to ask Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions.

The County Executive will discuss Silver Spring being ranked No. 1 in Fortune, Inc. “Best Place to Live for Families” analysis. He will also encourage our area to support Olympic athletes from Montgomery County in the upcoming Olympic games and recap a well-attended celebration Tuesday for Olympic champion gymnast Dominique Dawes, a Silver Spring native. This week's guests will be:

• Jacob Newman, director, Silver Spring Regional Service Center
• Stephanie Helsing, president and CEO, Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should contact Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
