Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich's Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, Will Feature Congressman Jamie Raskin, Updates on the Institute for Health Computing and New Life Science Development in North Bethesda

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, in his weekly media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, will be joined by Congressman Jamie Raskin. Among the topics they will discuss are ways to address gun violence and the recent attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. 

The County Executive will discuss the recently announced partnership between Montgomery County and the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) to develop land next to the North Bethesda Metro Station. There will also be an update on the development's anchor, the Institute for Health Computing.

This week's guests will be:

  • Mark Gladwin, dean, University of Maryland School of Medicine
  • Amitabh Varshney, dean, University of Maryland, College of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Science
