Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich's Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, to Focus on Grant Money to Help Economic Development, Thanksgiving Parade

Reporters are encouraged to participate in this week’s virtual media briefing on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 12:30 p.m., where they will have the opportunity to ask Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions.

The County Executive will discuss the County’s regulations for the MOVE Grant Program, which will provide money to help companies sign an initial lease or expand their footprint in the County. MOVE stands for Make Office Vacancy Extinct, a bill passed by the Montgomery County Council this summer. The County Executive will also discuss the impact of the upcoming Thanksgiving Parade on Downtown Silver Spring. His guests this week will be:

  • Gene Smith, manager, Montgomery County Business Center
  • Jacob Newman, director, Silver Spring Regional Services Center

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should contact Tracy O'Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 10:30 on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
