EARTH MONTH

The many organizations that work toward making Montgomery County an environmentally better place to live were recognized on April 18 by the Montgomery County Council and County Executive Ike Leggett as part of the County’s celebration of April as “Earth Month.” Council President Roger Berliner led the ceremonies, which included representatives of the Audubon Naturalist Society, Bethesda Green, the Little Falls Watershed Alliance, Poolesville Green, the Potomac Conservancy, the Rock Creek Conservancy, the Sierra Club and the Watts Branch Watershed.
