NAACP 39th Annual National ACT-SO Competition

The NAACP’s Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) is a yearlong achievement program designed to recruit, stimulate, and encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African-American high school students. Councilmember Craig Rice, who also serves as chair of the Council's Education Committee, recognized several student award winners and finalists. Student winners include: Bilikisu Hanidu, Nina Crosby Walton, Caleb Clark, Jamielyn Quinto and Kwasi Kyeremeh. The work of Pat Price, ACT-SO Chair and JoAnn Burl, ACT-SO Co-Chair was also recognized.
