Montgomery County Recreation Hosts Youth Summit in Silver Spring

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett encouraged teens to participate, to persist and to play within the rules at a Youth Summit hosted by the Department of Recreation at the Silver Spring Civic Building. Hundreds of teens attended the forum that was moderated by WPGC radio host Joe Clair, and included a panel of Montgomery County leaders and officials. The teens presented Leggett with a framed gift to thank him for his dedication and support. The event also featured a MoCo’s Got Talent youth performance, resource booths and a silent dance party.
