Montgomery Council President Craig Rice to Meet With Media on Monday, April 28 Among Topics He Will Discuss Are School Resource Officers, An Update on Montgomery School Construction Funding, Recent Report on Homelessness in County

Montgomery County Council President Craig Rice will meet with members of the media at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 28, to discuss key items that will be facing the County Council and its respective committees in the near future. At the briefing, he will provide an update on construction funding for Montgomery County schools. He also will talk about a proposed increase in the School Resource Officers (SROs) program, which will be the focus of a joint committee worksession earlier on Monday morning.

Council President Rice’s meeting with media members will be held in the SIXTH FLOOR Conference Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville.

Council President Rice also will discuss a recent report that shows programs the County has implemented to reduce homelessness are having an impact.

Council President Rice intends to hold regular briefings to help explain and expand on upcoming issues facing the Council and the County in general.
