Montgomery County Liquor Control Provides Free Resource to Combat Under 21 Alcohol Use

For Immediate Release: Thursday, February 4, 2016

In an effort to combat under 21 drinking in Montgomery County, the Department of Liquor Control has partnered with the Montgomery County Tobacco Coalition to develop and print ID checking calendars for tobacco and alcohol retailers. The calendar includes a tear off ID checking section for sellers and servers.

Additionally, the calendars include monthly regulatory tips, important licensing dates and training schedules, all at no cost to county businesses. “The Department of Liquor Control strives to educate licensees and provide them with tools to help them succeed. These calendars are a great, free resource,” says Kathie Durbin, Division, Chief of Licensing, Regulation and Education.

The calendars have been distributed to each of the nearly 1,100 licensed establishments to promote alcohol related regulatory information. For more information please contact Emily DeTitta, Licensing and Outreach Manager at 240-777-1904 or email dlc@montgomerycountymd.gov.

The calendar can be viewed online at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/dlc under Licensing Regulation and Education, Resources.
