The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, the Maryland Department of the Environment and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources will hold a public hearing on the potential environmental impact of the proposed Bethesda-New Carrollton Purple Line on October 16, 7 pm, in Silver Spring at the Civic Building auditorium, 1 Veterans Place.

The formal hearing will begin with agency statements at 7 p.m., followed by public testimony. Note that a time limit of three minutes per speaker may be set, depending on the number of speakers, to ensure that all interested parties have an opportunity to voice their views. The public hearings will be recorded and transcribed.
