Montgomery County Public Libraries Partnership Provides Teens Free Opportunity to Learn Video Production and Graphic Design

Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) is partnering with the Gandhi Brigade Youth Media to offer teens two unique opportunities to learn the fundamentals of video production and graphic design.  The free 12-week programs are available to high school students in grades 9 through 12.

Video Production will be offered beginning:

Monday, January 23, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.:

  • Marilyn J. Praisner, 14910 Old Columbia Pike

  • Olney, 3500 Olney-Laytonsville Road

  • White Oak, 11701 New Hampshire Avenue (program will be offered until March.)

Tuesday, January 24:

  • Rockville Memorial, 21 Maryland Avenue

  • Kensington Park, 4201 Knowles Avenue

Thursday, January 26:

  • Twinbrook, 202 Meadow Hall Drive

Fundamentals of Graphic Design using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, in which the participants will learn the art of visual design through the process of creating inspirational and informative posters, will be offered beginning:


Monday, January 23, 3:15 to 5:15 p.m.:

  • Silver Spring, 900 Wayne Avenue

Early registration is encouraged as these programs are expected to fill quickly.
