Leggett to Hold Three Additional FY18 Operating Budget Forums; Residents’ Feedback Crucial in Determining Budget Priorities

For Immediate Release: Thursday, January 12, 2017

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is holding FY18 budget forums for public input on Wednesday, January 18 and Wednesday, January 25. The forums will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

“Public forums are the residents’ opportunity to let me know what is important to them as I prepare next year’s operating budget for submission to the County Council on March 15,” said County Executive Leggett. “Input from residents for the FY18 budget is crucial in helping me determine the County’s budget priorities.”

  • The January 18 forum will be held at the Mid-County Community Recreation Center, located at 2004 Queensgard Road, Silver Spring.

  • The January 25 forum will take place at the Silver Spring Regional Services Center located at One Veterans Place.

  •  The January 30 forum will take place at the BlackRock Center for the Arts located at 12901 Town Commons Drive in Germantown.

The County Executive will announce his Recommended FY18 Operating Budget on March 15. The County Council then provides its input and gives final approval of the operating budget at the end of May.
