Montgomery County Office of Human Rights Announces Few Tickets Remain for the Upcoming Civil Rights Historic Bus Tour

For Immediate Release: Thursday, March 9, 2017

A few tickets are still available for the Office of Human Rights Co-Sponsored Civil Rights Historic Bus Tour. Space is limited and the trip usually sells out. Registration and deposit deadlines have been extended to fill the last few seats. Anyone interested in the trip should register right away as registration will close once seats are filled.
This historic bus tour retraces the steps of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights heroes. The bus tour is scheduled April 8 until April 16. This year the trip is offered during Montgomery County Public School spring break. This is a great opportunity for families to learn and immerse in civil rights history.
The tour will travel to Greensboro, NC; Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, Montgomery and Selma, AL; Memphis and Nashville, TN; Little Rock, AR and Jackson, MS to retrace the Freedom Trail to learn about Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Medgar Evers and the Montgomery Bus Boycott, voter’s rights, Little Rock Nine and other significant events of the Civil Rights Movement.

Registration, itinerary and cost of the tour is available at http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/humanrights/outreach/2017_Civil_Rights_Experience.html. Credit cards and checks are accepted as payment for registration.
