MCDOT Makes Pedestrian and Safety Improvements in Wheaton

MCDOT continues to make pedestrian and traffic safety improvements in North Wheaton communities, including the addition of five stop signs; installation or refreshing of 62 crosswalk and street markings; removal of traffic sign and signal obstructions, such as vegetation; installation of six No Parking signs; repainting of double-line markings on three streets; repair and upgrading of street lights to LED; and an analysis of the need for additional lighting.  


MCDOT will be meeting with community leaders this month to discuss longer term solutions to further enhance safety.
