Ride On’s Bus Stop Improvement Program Presented Today on National ADA Network Webinar

For Immediate Release: Thursday, December 14, 2017

Ride On Customer Amenities Unit Manager Stacy Coletta and Department of General Services ADA Title II Compliance Manager Nancy G. Greene were invited to present a webinar to the National ADA Network on MCDOT’s bus stop improvement program. Last summer’s Mid-Atlantic regional webinar, entitled Everybody Rides! One County’s Approach to Safe, Accessible Bus Stops, was such a success that the team was invited to present the information to the national group. About 150 participants have registered for today’s webinar, which will be held at 2 p.m., EST.

Since 2007, MCDOT has made ADA improvements at 89 percent of its 5,341 bus stops, bringing the total number of ADA compliant stops to 4,451.

The National ADA Network is a federally funded coalition of regional ADA information and technical assistance centers.

Register for the webinar online and/or see slides of the presentation.
