For Immediate Release: Friday, September 14, 2018

The third annual Montgomery County Procurement Forum is set for Friday, October 5th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building, located at 1 Veterans Place in downtown Silver Spring.

The Montgomery County Office of Procurement is hosting this premier event, which features dozens of exhibitors, panelists and speakers. Registration is free.

“This is an important event for business owners who want to learn about the procurement process, including opportunities across Montgomery County,” said County Executive Ike Leggett.

Local and state government officials, along with business leaders, will provide remarks at the forum. In addition, attendees can meet and learn from procurement experts in the public and private sectors.

“This event extends well beyond the one-day forum,” said Procurement Director Cherri Branson. “Our objective is to provide the information and tools needed for local businesses to grow and become even more successful.”

The forum will feature breakout sessions on a variety of topics, including writing effective proposals, nonprofit opportunities, an overview about business certificates, marketing, social media and new initiatives. In addition, participants can meet and network with representatives from more than one dozen agencies and organizations at the Exhibitor Showcase.
