On Wednesday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public hearing to discuss the Decatur Avenue access restriction under consideration in Kensington. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide oral testimony.

MCDOT has initiated the process to consider an access restriction, including the installation of a regulatory sign to restrict eastbound, right turns from Wexford Drive to Decatur Avenue between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, pursuant to a request made by the residents of Decatur Avenue, in accordance with Executive Regulation 17-94AM, “Through Traffic Volume Access Restrictions in Residential Areas.”

Prior to the meeting, the public is encouraged to review the project files on the project website. Questions and comments may be submitted by email to [email protected] or via the online written testimony/comment form. All information provided, including names, questions and comments, will become a matter of public record.
