For Immediate Release: Monday, August 26, 2024
On Tuesday, Sept. 10, starting at 1 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold a virtual public hearing to discuss the abandonment of a portion of public right of way on Broad Street in Bethesda.
At the hearing, the public will have an opportunity to present oral or written comments concerning the abandonment of public right-of-way covering approximately 4,500 square feet located at the end of Broad Street, abutting 6401 Broad Street. The abandonment case was petitioned by Corey and Sandra Salsberg (the “Applicant”) to abandon the Public Right of Way on the basis that there is no current or anticipated future public use of the alley.
Online registration is required by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, to attend the virtual public hearing. The day before the hearing, an email with a Zoom link will be sent to registrants. Those previously registered to attend the hearing are not required to re-register. Written testimony carries the same weight as oral testimony. Testimony and information provided will become a matter of public record.
