Montgomery County officials and community members will participate in a panel discussion to raise awareness of underage drinking on Wednesday, April 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Montgomery County Board of Education Auditorium, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville.
The community forum, called “Keeping It Safe,” will include discussions on preventing alcohol use among youth under the legal drinking age of 21. A question-and-answer session will follow the discussion.
This nationwide initiative is supported by the Federal Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Prevention of Underage Drinking. A series of town hall meetings will take place across the United States throughout the spring.
The forum is jointly sponsored by Montgomery County’s Department of Liquor Control and Board of License Commissioners, Department of Police, Keeping It Safe Coalition on Under 21 Alcohol Use Prevention and Montgomery County Public Schools Safe and Drug-Free Schools.
