We accept smoke alarms as household hazardous waste at our Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station.
Some alarm manufacturers will take their own products back, but will not take products made by other companies. The postage is at the consumer's expense.
Do not bring smoke or carbon monoxide alarms to our electronics recycling drop-off. Our electronics recycling contractor does not handle items with radioactive elements.
