How to recycle / dispose scissors and kitchen knives

We accept scissors and kitchen knives as trash

• in our curbside trash collections
• at the Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station

How do I prepare my items?

1. Wrap your scissors or kitchen or other small knife securely in cardboard.
2. Tape the cardboard closed.
3. Place the taped cardboard package into your regular trash.
