Martin Luther King, Jr.  / Black History Month Celebration

You are invited to the Annual County Executive sponsored County Wide MLK/Black History Month Celebration Friday February 18, 2022 at the Music Center at Strathmore, 7:30 pm. This is a free event but tickets are required and can be obtained through Strathmore.

Come out and enjoy an evening of music, learning and inspiration as we honor “Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things for the Fight for Freedom.” Recognition of Local civil rights warriors will include Mary Williams Betters, Rev. James Macdonell, Leroy Warren and Bette Thompson….Reenactor performance of Nina Simone, Mahalia Jackson, Harry Belafonte’ and more.
