Montgomery County Executive Elrich to Announce Completion of Two-Year Apartment Building Inspection Initiative That is Area's Most Aggressive for Large Jurisdictions

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich to announce that the County recently completed its two-year initiative to inspect 686 apartment buildings - a new protocol that is the most aggressive among large jurisdictions in the Washington area. Elrich will be joined by County Councilmember Tom Hucker, Renters Alliance Executive Director Matt Losak, and other officials.

Elrich has been a long-time advocate of affordable housing – and, safe housing. As a County Councilmember, he sponsored tenant rights legislation Bill 19-15, which created the apartment inspection initiative.
