TIME CHANGE: Weekly Media Briefing with Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and Other County Officials on Wednesday, November 9 TO BEGIN AT 11 A.M.

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Reporters interested in asking County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity during this week’s virtual media briefing happening Wednesday, November 9 starting on or just after 11 a.m. The time change is to account for the County Executive’s participation in the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments meeting which begins at noon.

The County Executive plans to answer questions about election results, the death of a Maryland trailblazer and a new tool to help the County monitor public health and community safety in a noninvasive way.

Sean O’Donnell, public health emergency preparedness manager, will discuss the latest on COVID-19 and will provide an update on the County’s Monkeypox (MPX) response.

These media briefings offer reporters a consistent opportunity to reach these County officials to discuss how Montgomery County is managing community health concerns and to address the County’s robust public health efforts.

Members of the media who wish to gain access to participate in the calls through Zoom should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'connor@montgomerycountymd.gov by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9. Login information will be provided to members of the media who contact us in advance however there is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call or need a new Zoom link.
