For Immediate Release: Tuesday, March 21, 2023
Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22.
This week, the County Executive will be joined by a teacher to discuss and answer questions about the challenges that MCPS professionals face and why it’s so important for the County Council to support his proposal for the FY24 Operating Budget. The County Executive will also provide details on his upcoming trip to Taiwan and what he hopes to accomplish while there.
Chief of Public Health Services Dr. James Bridgers, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Earl Stoddard, and Public Health Emergency Preparedness Manager Sean O’Donnell will also join the County Executive to discuss community fentanyl concerns and the latest COVID-19 news.
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and important issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by noon March 22. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County's Facebook page and County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
