Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich’s Weekly Media Briefing Set for Thursday, Feb. 8 at 11:30 a.m.

For Immediate Release: Thursday, February 8, 2024

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold his weekly virtual media briefing at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8.

This week he will discuss a big economic win for Montgomery County with the announcement of a forthcoming manufacturing facility by AstraZeneca. He will also focus on statewide efforts to make roads safer by adding laws aimed at curbing dangerous driving. The County Executive will be joined by Delegate Greg Wims to talk about the legislation prompted by critical injuries suffered by Montgomery County Police Department Sgt. Patrick Kepp last fall.

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss important issues with key members of the County government. Members of the media who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] by 9:30 a.m. on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.

If you are not a member of the media and/or cannot gain access to participate, the briefing can be viewed live on the County's Facebook page and County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
