Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center to Hold Media Availability Today at 5 p.m. in Derwood on AC Outage and Urgent Need for Pet Foster Families
For Immediate Release: Monday, June 23, 2025
Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC) is currently without air conditioning due to a mechanical issue. Repairs are underway, but rising temperatures and limited space have created an urgent need for short-term fosters for dogs, cats and some small animals.
Caroline Hairfield, executive director of MCASAC, will be available for interviews to discuss the situation and how residents can help.
