Montgomery County's Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, to Feature Maryland Delegate Bonnie Cullison and Will Focus on New Laws

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County leaders questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2. Chief Administrative Officer Rich Madaleno will be filling in for County Executive Marc Elrich, who is not available.

Mr. Madaleno is scheduled to have Maryland Delegate Bonnie Cullison on as his guest to discuss new laws that took effect July 1 that impact Montgomery County and Maryland residents and other laws passed by the General Assembly that are set to take effect October 1. Their discussion will include health insurance savings for young adults, the new Office of Disability Employment Advancement and Policy and how the State is helping more residents cover the cost of reproductive health services and birth control.

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'connor@montgomerycountymd. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
