Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich's Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, to Focus on Housing Issues and the Limitations of Changing Zoning Laws to Produce More Housing

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, which will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6.

The County Executive has invited two professors from Vanderbilt Law to this week’s media briefing to do a deep dive into housing issues faced here in Montgomery County and nationwide. He is particularly interested in their analysis of zoning changes and their impact on housing markets in a paper published this April. His guests this week will be:

• Ganesh Sitaraman, Founding Director, Vanderbilt Policy Accelerator
• Christopher Serkin, Professor, Vanderbilt University Law School

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
