Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich's Weekly Media Briefing at Noon on Tuesday, Aug. 12, to Focus on Federalization of the Metropolitan Police Department and its Impact on Montgomery County

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, which will be held at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 12.

The County Executive will offer his reaction to Monday’s decision by the federal government to use the National Guard in the federal takeover of policing in the District. He will talk about its potential impact on efforts to end homelessness and the direction the federal government should be going with those experiencing homelessness. His guest this week will be:

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call.
