Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, which will be held at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
The County Executive will offer his reaction to Monday’s decision by the federal government to use the National Guard in the federal takeover of policing in the District. He will talk about its potential impact on efforts to end homelessness and the direction the federal government should be going with those experiencing homelessness. His guest this week will be:
The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
