Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich's Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, to Focus on Potential Federal Cuts Impacting Sheltering of Unhoused Individuals and Weakening of Fair Housing Act Enforcement

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will be able to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, which will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

The County Executive will discuss the impact of U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding cuts on services to help people who are unhoused. He’ll also detail his frustration with the weakening of fair housing efforts within HUD. The County Executive’s guest this week will be:

  • Christine Hong, Chief, Services to End and Prevent Homelessness 

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
