Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich's Weekly Media Briefing at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, to Focus on State of County Nonprofits and “Montgomery Gives Local” Campaign

For Immediate Release: Monday, November 24, 2025

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, scheduled for 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

The County Executive will discuss the “Montgomery Gives Local” campaign, a new initiative designed to encourage residents to give back to their community through financial or volunteer support. With the County facing unprecedented challenges from federal workforce layoffs and rising inflation, many families are experiencing extraordinary pressure, and local nonprofits are also being impacted. The County Executive will also address last Friday’s AstraZeneca announcement.

His guest this week is:

  • Brigid Howe, executive director, Nonprofit Montgomery

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government, and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.

You can view the media briefing live on the County's Facebook page and YouTube page. Provided there are no conflicts, you can also watch the briefing on County Cable Montgomery.
