Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, to Feature Del. Julie Palakovich Carr and Preview Next Week's Start of the Maryland General Assembly

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan 7.

The County Executive will welcome Maryland Delegate Julie Palakovich Carr, Montgomery County’s House Delegation Chair, to discuss the upcoming start of the general assembly next Wednesday and some of the County’s priorities. He’ll also discuss today's release of the County’s Climate Action Plan report for the last fiscal year, which includes the expansion of the Mesonet weather station program, in partnership with the University of Maryland.

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government, and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
