Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich's Weekly Media Briefing at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21: Update on Federal Workforce Career Center, Latest Unemployment Numbers

Reporters interested in asking Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich questions will have the opportunity to do so during this week’s virtual media briefing, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21.

The County Executive will discuss the latest on the Federal Workforce Career Center with his guest Anthony Featherstone, the executive director of Worksource Montgomery. He’ll also react to the latest unemployment data covering October and November 2025 and explain how the local economy continues to show signs of resiliency.

The weekly media briefings offer reporters an opportunity to discuss timely and vital issues with the County Executive, key members of the County Government, and community leaders invited to the Zoom call. Media members who wish to participate in the virtual media briefing should RSVP to Tracy O’Connor at tracy.o'[email protected] on the day of the briefing. Login information will be provided after receipt of the RSVP. Login information for the media briefing remains the same from week to week. There is no need to RSVP each week unless you are new to the call.
