County Urges Residents to Take Precautions during Excessive Heat

The National Weather Service advises that dangerous heat and humidity are likely Friday through Sunday across the entire area. Heat indices around 105 to 110 degrees are possible during the afternoon and evening hours each day. If the prolonged heat and humidity is realized, it will become a significant threat to anyone exposed to the heat for an extended period. County officials urge residents to take precautions to protect themselves and loved ones against heat-related illnesses such as heat stroke and heat exhaustion.
