Mental and Behavioral Health Commission

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich participated in a Mental and Behavioral Health Commission meeting hosted by Maryland Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford. In January 2019, Rutherford announced Executive Order 01.01.2019.06, signed by Maryland State Governor Larry Hogan, establishing the Commission to Study Mental and Behavioral Health in Maryland. The commission, chaired by Rutherford, has been tasked with studying mental health in Maryland, including access to mental health services and the link between mental health issues and substance-use disorders.  The event was held at Montgomery College’s Germantown campus in the High Technology and Science Center.
