County Completes Most Aggressive Apartment Building Inspection Initiative in the Region
Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich announced the County recently completed the most aggressive apartment building inspection initiative in the region. The County inspected more than 22,000 apartment units in 686 buildings and found over 31,000 violations. 96 percent of violations have been corrected and the County will continue conducting inspections to ensure that these buildings meet requirements. Montgomery County leads the region in identifying and focusing resources on the most problematic apartment buildings and implementing such a thorough and systematic enforcement regimen.
