October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich urged residents experiencing domestic violence to call and access free County services, which can promote safety, well-being, and healing. Elrich was joined by County Councilmember Sidney Katz, State’s Attorney John McCarthy, Acting Police Chief Marcus Jones, Sheriff Darren M. Popkin, Nicole Drew, president of Commission for Women and, representatives of the Family Justice Center, the Abused Persons Program and members of the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council.
