MCDOT Reminds Motorists to Drive Sober Thanksgiving Weekend
Thanksgiving is one of the most heavily traveled times of the year and most fatal for drunk driving crashes. Aligned with our support of Vision Zero, MCDOT offers these tips if you've been drinking or see a drunk driver:
- Designate a sober driver before your first drink.
- Buzzed driving is drunk driving, don't risk it.
- If you need a ride, contact a friend or family, use public transportation, a taxi or ride share service like Uber or Lyft.
- Always wear a seat belt.
- If you see an impaired driver on the road, call 911.
