Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich was joined by County Council President Sidney Katz, Montgomery County Chief of Police Marcus Jones, Department of Health and Human Services Director Raymond Crowel and other County officials to unveil the Community Opioid Prevention Education (COPE) Trailer. The COPE Trailer will be a part of the Montgomery County Police Department’s Community Engagement Division. COPE is a partnership with the Opioid Intervention Team. The trailer assists a loved one (parent, spouse, friend, or other family member) with the ability to identify red flags, or signals (articles inside a bedroom or bathroom that might be indicators that there is an opioid problem). The goal is to identify these things before it is too late. Visit montgomerycountymd.gov/opioids for more information.
