MCDOT Begins Garage Cleanings

In Spring and Fall, MCDOT performs washdowns at 21 County-owned parking garages in Silver Spring, Bethesda and Wheaton to protect and prevent deterioration of the structures from prolonged exposure to salt, sand, oils, gas, dirt, pollen and leaves and keeps it out of our waterways.

The cleanings began this month in Bethesda and will end in Silver Spring mid-June.  Signage will be posted on partial closures that may include select entrance/exit areas and ramps.
