Older Driver Safety Awareness Week, Dec. 6-12

Older Driver Safety Awareness Week promotes the importance of mobility and transportation for older adults. Recent statistics show there are 44 million licensed drivers over the age of 65. View these tips to stay safe:

• Obey all traffic rules
• Never drive in inclement weather
• Avoid driving at night, if possible
• Plan the route in advance
• Get vision checked at least once a year.
• Consider alternatives to driving, such as riding with a friend, using public transit, or car ride services.
