MCDOT Celebrates Bike to School Day, May 4

This annual event celebrates bike month by encouraging students to bike to school. The initiative focuses on healthy lifestyles and safety. Schools and the surrounding neighborhoods participate in the campaign by raising awareness of traffic rules, encouraging riding a bike to school and raising neighborhood awareness to share the road with cyclists. 

Elementary schools are encouraged to promote this holiday and can get ideas here. MCDOT will celebrate this annual event at Ritchie Park Elementary School in Rockville.
