National Public Works Week May 16-21

This national event celebrates essential workers who provide and sustain essential services. Some of the tasks that MCDOTs' Highway Services staff is responsible for are clearing trees in roadways, snow removal, maintain streetlights and signals, flood response, storm management, street cleaning, and leaf collection.
MCDOT will host a free, family-friendly Truck Day event on Saturday, May 21 between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the MCDOT Gaithersburg Depot, 17000 Crabbs Branch Way in Gaithersburg. Kids can tour and sit in various County vehicles that will be on display.
