Celebrating Delta Sigma Theta Day

On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, the Council celebrated Delta Sigma Theta Day led by Council President Evan Glass and Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles, joined by the Montgomery County (MD) Alumnae Chapter and the Potomac Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

The Chapters have fulfilled the mission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in Montgomery County for more than 50 years, providing an extensive array of public service initiatives.

One hundred and ten years since its founding, Delta Sigma Theta has become one of the preeminent service-based sororities, with more than 300,000 initiated members and over 1,000 chartered chapters worldwide.
