Third Annual African Heritage Month Commemoration

The Montgomery County Council held its third annual African Heritage Month commemoration hosted by Councilmembers Will Jawando, Laurie-Anne Sayles, and Council President Evan Glass on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 11:30 a.m. The theme of this year’s event was Celebrating African Changemakers who are redefining Culture and Community.

The presentation included a commemorative video, which featured KaribFIT, Tsiona Foods, Passion to Seed Gardening, the Howard University isiZulu language program, and Fela! the Musical at the Olney Theatre Center.
